AGE:WISE was presented in the EPALE 2021 Online Conference on the theme “I am different. You are different. Together we are diversity! – Diversity in inclusive adult education”. In course of a networking pool, we were able to introduce the project and its activities to the participants and exchange ideas about it. Additionally, we received valuable input for the project. There will also be a report on this, which will be available on EPALE after the event.. Moreover, the project was nominated as project of the month in May by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research.
With the Kick-Off Meeting in October (19.-20. October) we started into our new ERASMUS+ project “AGE:WISE – Across Generation at Eye Level : Ways to Integrate Seniors by Education”.
The project wants to promote IGL settings, enabling elderly people to recognise their valuable competencies and motivating them to take on the role as teachers. Instead of meeting personally in Graz (Austria) for the project start as planned, the first meeting took place online. During the two days the partners from Austria (bit schulungscenter), Germany (VHS Cham), Portugal (Future Balloons), Poland (Fundacja Autokreacja) and Italy (EduVita) had the opportunity to get to know each other a bit better and discuss the concrete coordination, planning and implementation as well as the next steps of the project to ensure a successful project development and implementation.
The online meeting was a successful start of the project and all partners are looking forward to an exciting cooperation in the next two years.
